Definition/Description
To allow all relevant information to be available for discussion at triage. To be accessed when a vertebroplasty procedure may be beneficial to the patient.

Referral Criteria/Information
Do Not Refer
- Clinical details do not fit the referral criteria.
- Sedation not possible due to patient co-morbidities
- If the patient is unable to lie prone for 30 minutes to 1 hour
- Low pain VAS score or not related to fracture site - <5 with analgesia or <7 without analgesia
- Spinal Fracture(s) older than 12 weeks
Referral Criteria
Patient must have had an MRI with STIR within the last 6 weeks prior to being referred to the triage. If MRI is incompatible, a whole spine CT will need to be performed prior to referral to the triage.
Referrals
Referrals to be sent to: hyp-tr.RadiologyMDT@nhs.net, patient will then be added to the triage agenda for discussion.
